Casa do Rio is a finalist for AIT-Award 2020 | Best in Interior and Architecture, in the “Hotel” category. The result will be known on 11 March at the award ceremony in Frankfurt.

In the first year, the AIT Awards received submissions from 47 countries. This immediately made the award, which was launched in 2012, one of the largest competitions for architecture and interior design in the world. Since then, the AIT “Best in Interior and Architecture” award combines interior design and architecture in one prize every two years, with a focus on the architectural centers of the world (Europe, North America, Middle East and Far East).

Award in various categories—all types of architectural projects and interior design can be submitted. An international jury of architects and interior designers awarded in each category an award for the best project, the jury meeting traditionally takes place in the Hauptkirche St. Katharinen in the immediate vicinity of the Hamburg AIT-ArchitekturSalon.

The placements will be announced by the jurors during a festive award ceremony in the presence of the nominated architecture firms during the fair light+building in Frankfurt, followed by exhibitions in the AIT-ArchitekturSalons.

ADDENDUM: 03/09/2020

Due to preventive measures against the coronavirus COVID-19, the rankings will be announced by the jurors and the AIT editorial team on 30 September 2020 during a festive award ceremony in the presence of the nominated interior design/architecture firms in the context of Light + Building in Frankfurt am Main.
