AIT-Award 2020 | Best in Interior and Architecture combines interior design and international architecture in a single award.

The award is given to outstanding building and interior design projects that seek a holistic approach to design. In this edition, prizes were awarded in 14 categories and also this year the response was extremely positive: a total of 877 projects were presented for AIT-Award 2020, among which a first-rate jury selected a total of 83 projects. This year, the finalists came from Belgium, Brazil, Denmark, Germany, Finland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Sweden, Switzerland, Slovenia, Spain and the USA.

Two Portuguese projects competed in the Hotel category. In a first phase, the two were selected as finalists, eventually winning 1st and 3rd prizes. First prize went to the already multi-awarded Casa do Rio, from the atelier Menos é Mais Arquitectos and 3rd prize went to the Hotel Casa Rosa, by architect Nuno Graça Moura, both from Oporto.

In this special edition, AIT Dialog magazine presents the projects that have reached the final stage – 83 projects in which architecture and interior design were thought and executed in an innovative way.
