New European Technical Assessment for the TFS™ system

ETA 220889.webp
The constructive system TFS™ (Timber-Frame System) from rusticasa® has just obtained the European Technical Assessment ETA 22/0889.
Issued in accordance with Regulation (EU) No 305/2011, based on EAD 340308-00-0203 – Timber Construction Kits, this ETA satisfactorily closes the cycle of tests and trials carried out over the last year on the TFS™ constructive system, with a view to CE Marking currently being audited.

An ETA can be granted to a construction product provided one of the following conditions is met:

• There is no harmonised European Standard applicable to that product and the European Commission has not issued any mandate for its elaboration;
• The product deviates significantly from harmonised European Standards.

In view of this, the ETAs apply fundamentally to products of an innovative nature, including those that are put on site in the form of a kit, for which it will be necessary to indicate the respective assembly rules. The ETA figure is inspired in the experience accumulated by the institutes that have been performing homologation functions, at national level, regarding innovative construction products.

In Europe, there are 23 timber construction kit systems with European Technical Assessment, according to the list of ETAs in force published by the European Organisation for Technical Assessment (EOTA). However, only two systems have this assessment in Portugal, the ITS™ (Insulated Timber System) and the TFS™ (Timber-Frame System), both from rusticasa®.

rusticasa® thus asserts its leadership in the domestic and European markets as a manufacturer of innovative and certified timber construction systems.

Please refer to the TFS™ page for more details about the building system.
