Between the 14 and 18 February, Rusticasa presented a prototype of its new laminated wood glued panels insulated with cork, marketed under the brand NATURLAM® for the constructive system ITSTM (Insulated Timber System), at the Exhibition of Sustainable Building Materials MCS 2018.
Organized by the Institute for Research and Technological Development for Construction, Energy, Environment and Sustainability (ITeCons), together with the Committee for Regional Coordination and Development of the Centre (CCDRC), this exhibition intended to sensitize the public about the advantage of innovative solutions of the Portuguese industry in the area of sustainability. More than thirty companies and other organizations contributed to this initiative with samples of materials, products and demonstration models, in order to illustrate the effort of this industry in the search for more sustainable construction solutions.
The exhibition coincided with the realization of the 3rd Luso-Brazilian Congress of Sustainable Building Materials, organized by ITeCons with the collaboration of the Universities of Coimbra, Minho and Federal of Paraíba (Brazil), with the aim of advertising the scientific and industrial advances in the development and application of these materials.
